In 2001, Aldo Baiocchi was trying to find the perfect gift for his daughter Daniela. He opted for an electric scooter. Unfortunately, it seemed very difficult to find one. Eventually he ordered one from the United States, but no one shipped it to Canada. He then decided to open his own business by creating and selling electric bikes from here to Canada and DAYMAK was born.

Operations began from a 300 square foot garage. Eventually, this was moved to a storefront that customers could visit and test the bikes for themselves before purchasing. Today Daymak operates a 60,000 square foot store and we have over 100 dealers across Canada and beyond.

Daymak has been named one of Ontario's greenest companies and its products have won several awards, including the Cleantech North Award.
